Artificial intelligence (AI) is changing the way software engineers, communications specialists and forensic scientists work. Are judicial officers next? What do you need to know, now and for the future?

By training generative AI tools on customised data sets, law firms and software developers are trying to eliminate hallucinations (AI-generated responses that are false or misleading) and develop bespoke products designed for the legal industry.

So far, this has been met with mixed success. Studies indicate that even specialist products are prone to error. But law firms are pressing ahead, with major international law firms either partnering with the legal AI developer Harvey AI or developing their own in-house tools in the quest for client satisfaction and efficiency.

What does this mean for judicial officers?

When can you safely use AI tools in your judicial work? And what should you do when you suspect parties have used AI in the preparation of material?

At this seminar, you will learn about the potential role of AI in the judicial process, from both legal and practical perspectives.

Note: This program is open to judicial officers only.
