Develop knowledge and confidence in hearing bail applications involving Aboriginal people in this expert-led discussion of imminent legislative changes to the Bail Act 1977 s 3A.
The session will:
- explore the expansion of the mandatory considerations in section 3A of the Bail Act
- equip bail decision makers to identify broader systemic factors that drive inequality and factors that make Aboriginal people particularly vulnerable in custody
