Justice Kate McMillan
Justice Kate McMillan has retired as a judge of the Supreme Court of Victoria, effective from 31 January 2023.

In March 2012 Justice McMillan was appointed to the Supreme Court of Victoria where she served as a judge in the Trial Division for 11 years.  

Prior to joining the Court, as a Senior Counsel, her Honour practiced in the area of commercial litigation. While at the Bar, her Honour also served on a number of committees. In 2005-2006 her Honour was the Chair of the Victorian Bar and was a member of the Ethics Committee for 10 years and was Chair of that committee for four years. 

Shortly after her appointment, her Honour was made the Judge-in-Charge of the Trusts, Equity and Probate List (then known as the Probate List), as well as the Testators Family Maintenance List. More recently, her Honour shared these roles with Justice Moore.
