Scheduled to begin their roles by January 2024, sixteen of these VCAT members will focus on addressing the residential tenancy cases backlog, while the remaining four will work on the Planning and Environment lists. This initiative is part of the tribunal's efforts to manage wait times and enhance access to justice.
